Salix x 'Flame'
Red-orange-yellow rods.
First year's growth is large, heavy and branched, but will grow more slender rods without side shoots in following years.
A little "soft" when soaked, but can be used for basketry as well as living willow work.

The information provided for each willow variety is based on my observations growing and using the willows here at Lakeshore Willows.
I coppice the willow annually, therefore information about growth habit is quoted from Christopher Newsholme's book: Willows, The Genus Salix.
