In this two day class for intermediate to advanced weavers, you will create a medium size round basket with or without a handle using the rope coil technique.
The more experienced weaver will have the choice to experiment with different additional techniques.
This round basket is made on a modified round base for a stake and strand basket. The shape of the basket is somewhat organic with rounded sides as well for a softer look.
Techniques used are twining, three/four or five rod wale adding weavers to create the rope coil look. Finish with a border and an option for a border follow on.
