  • I had the opportunity to weave a tatza basket during a one-morning workshop with Johnny at PAF in Farrellton, QC, and then dive deeper with a two-day basket-weaving course at the Cordwood in Perth, ON. Johnny’s guidance was exceptional—he understands the challenges of learning something new and the specific pain points for newer weavers in each design. His clear demonstrations and patient, individualized support made the process accessible and enjoyable. Johnny fostered a gentle and welcoming environment, creating space where people could connect meaningfully and share over more than just weaving. These courses felt as much about building community as they were about building baskets, and I’m grateful for the experience.
