a Squarework Garden Trug (2 day course on August 16th and 17th)

In this two day workshop for weavers with some experience, we will be making garden truss utilizing squarework techniques!

This workshop is for weavers with some experience. Overall the techniques are fairly simple, however it is important that you are fairly familiar with border techniques in order to get the most out of this workshop. Learning square borders is another level of complexity so if you come into this already feeling completely lost with borders-- don't expect that to change. If you are a complete beginner, it's very important that you take an introductory/beginner class before (for example the class running on (August 15)

During this  class you will learn the techniques to set up and weave a square base, how to scallom and tie stakes onto your base, review and refine three and four rod wale techniques, learn "packing" weave to build up the sidewalls, 5 behind two square border, handle techniques with a herringbone finish.

The finished basket will be approximately 12" wide by 18" long, with a handle.
